1957 Magazines

1957

The 1950’s were certainly a more glamorous time than the present.  o-BAZAAR-570When you simply glance at a cover of a 1950’s magazine, it suddenly becomes apparent how gorgeous the fashion of that era were.  It takes the gals at Filthy Rebena a long time to flip through the pages – seduced by contemporary fashions in vivid, Kodachrome-worthy colors.

What we adore about these particular photographs is the wanderlust vibe they still bring to the eye.  As the 1950’s economy boomed in the fashion World, traveling was becoming more affordable.  Travel and ethnic themes began to influence fashion and echo through consumer goods in a big way.

It’s no wonder that these glossy pages are still inspiring our closets and our wanderlust souls.
